Our Team

 

Atem is our Head of Innovation and Storytelling, he moved to St Barnabas in January 2020. He has worked in film and TV for several years, working in the Visual Effects production department. Atem writes and directs short films on the side, with a strong passion for telling biblical stories in modern day.

Clare is our Head of Discipleship. She moved to St Barnabas in September 2021 to start ordination training, but has dreamt of exploring worship through the creative arts for a long time. She is passionate about making the Bible more accessible to others. Clare has a large houseplant collection and a love for breakfast foods.

David leads the Prayer Team which supports CREATE. Originally from New York, he has lived in London working in Finance for almost 30 years. Almost every week David is smilingly excited (but definitely no longer surprised) by something God does at CREATE in answer to prayer.

DAVID SOLA

Holly is on the Vision Team and was one of the first people on board coming up with the dreams and ideas for CREATE. Holly studied theatre and performance and has wanted to use these creative abilities in church and seen reflected in a church service since university. She now works as a deputy manager in a nursery. Holly is passionate about leading services, pastoral care, prayer ministry and being an ambassador for mental health and wellbeing in our spiritual walk with God.

Vision Team

Josh is one of our Community and Wellbeing Pastors. He moved to St Barnabas with his wife Sophie in October 2021, and has been involved in CREATE ever since. Josh works as a counsellor, but also has a passion for film-making and photography. He loves experimenting with the way we can use media in church.

Paul is our Production Manager. He has been working at St Barnabas since 2020, and loves playing bass guitar. He’s married to Jos and enjoys a good katsu curry.

Emily is a worship singer and one of our Community and Wellbeing Pastors. She loves music and has sung in musicals around West Sussex. Emily has a passion for children and has been a nanny for over a decade, and a real heart for homelessness, helping to run a shelter for 13 years. With the hope that this is something that can be brought to CREATE.

Jeavon is our Welcome Team Leader.

Born Lichfield. Medicine at Leeds - elective Kenya. Neuromuscular research at Westminster Hospital.

Consultant Anaesthetist St Mary’s 1996-2020 (incl. Tutor and Lead). Barnies’ evening service since 1997.

Did: HMS Pinafore, Rocky Horror, ‘99 London Marathon, trips to Brazil, Botswana, Mongolia

Attends: rugby, cricket, theatre, modern dance.

Does: skiing, sailing, apologetics (anti-evolution), wargames, wine tastings, air guitar.

JEAVON HOOD

Welcome Team Lead

Leona is our Creative Arts Coordinator. She is a self-taught artist from Hungary who is passionate about helping people discover their creative side. Leona believes that God’s love is not only powerful and unconditional but creative in nature. She has an extensive scarf collection and enjoys photographing people and flowers.

Sophie is our Director for Music. She studied music at University back in Australia and moved to the UK in October 2021 to be the Families worker at St Barnabas. She loves song-writing and is a music teacher and singer on the side of her day job.
