SCROLL DOWN

Families

At St Barnabas we believe that children are an integral part of God’s Kingdom. We believe that children are cherished by the Lord, made in his image and profoundly loved by him. As such our vision for the Wildlife ministry can be summarised as;

‘KNOWN, LOVED, WANTED’

Below you will find an outline of the various activities we offer at St Barnabas

Wildlife is the name given to our children and Youth ministry. We run on every Sunday through the school term, during our 10.30am family service, with groups for all ages!

For more information, contact Sophie.

FIREFLIES
Ages 0-2

For those parents with a little one, we offer a small creche at the back of our main church hall. We have volunteers who take care of and play with the babies, and provide an easy avenue for parents to check on their children throughout the service.

If parents need to stay with their child, they are able to do so. The service will be played through the church speakers.

LITTLE LIONS
Nursery and reception

We start our session by taking off our shoes to get ready to meet with God. There is some free-play time with lots of toys and crafts. Then we have juice and biscuits as we listen to stories about our Heavenly Father and His wonderful plan for our lives. We enjoy praising Him with singing and dancing and then we have some quiet (or sometimes noisy space) to meet with Him for ourselves.

OCTOPUS
School yrs 1–4

Each week we meet downstairs in the Howard hall for games, Bible teaching, prayer, worship, crafts and more. All with tons of fun! We pray that the kids may grow in their knowledge of and love for God and enter into a personal relationship with him; that they may bear much fruit for God’s kingdom now and in the future.

PENGUINS
School yrs 5–8

Penguins is a special space for young people in school years 5-8 where they can encounter the God who made and loves them and spend time with old and new friends.  We mix it up every week, with games, discussions about the Bible, creative moments and time to meet personally with Jesus.

YOUTH
School yrs 9-13

We meet in the youth studio. Our aim is to provide an environment where the teenagers involved can go deeper in what it means to be a Christian, be inspired by the Bible, and get a chance to ask their leaders about challenges they might have. We have regular question and answer sessions, group discussion, and prayer times.

St Barnabas and St Philip’s school is a thriving Church of England primary school in the heart of Kensington committed to providing a broad and balanced education within a secure Christian environment.

As a church school, the Christian ethos is very important and our church (along with St Philip’s) plays a major part in this. School services are held in each church throughout the year, members of our team take regular collective worship, and the church is represented on the board of governors by the Vicar and PCC representatives.

Please note that regular members of St Barnabas church have priority access to places at the school.
